Introduction
Ready to learn about one of the best businesses in Grand Theft Auto Online? The Acid Lab has quickly become a staple in anyone’s arsenal for many reasons: it is solo friendly, sell missions are fast and pay well, and it does not require an expensive buy in. Introduced in the Los Santos Drug Wars update, the Acid Lab was acquired after completing the First Dose missions series that followed Dax and his group of Fooliganz in their fight against the Hippie Cartel.
Acquiring the Acid Lab
There are two ways to acquire the Acid Lab, the first and more expensive way to buy the base Brickade 6x6 outright from Warstock Cache & Carry, for the price of $1,450,000. You will still need to upgrade it to an Acid Lab and purchase the Equipment upgrade. The second and recommended option is to complete the First Dose missions strand. These missions introduce the Fooliganz and their shenanigans, a truly fun and unique experience. By completing these six missions, the base Brickade 6x6 is unlocked for free.
Now to install the Acid Lab equipment inside the back of the Brickade, you will need to head to the Freakshop and pay $750,000. Luckily, if you completed the First Dose storyline, you would have earned $500,000, meaning you only need to front up $250,000. Additionally, completing the follow up Last Dose mission strand will also net you $500,000, basically paying off this whole venture.
| First Dose Missions | Description |
|---|---|
| Welcome to the Troupe | Defend Liquor Ace property against the Lost MC, then hijack Dax's custom RV, and then head to Los Santos to establish The Freakshop. |
| Designated Driver | Hijack a heavily armed commercial convoy and sabotage a localized rival hippie/altruist cult gathering. |
| Fetch Quest | Infiltrate a highly secure Humane Labs research outpost to commandeer chemical hardware while enduring a forced psychedelic trip. |
| Making a Killing | Protect the Fooliganz's distributed drug infrastructure across Los Santos from retaliatory rival gang assaults. |
| Uncontrolled Substance | Navigate an intense, high-speed hallucination through city traffic while tracking down a runaway target. |
| Off the Rails | Derail a high-security Merryweather supply train, extract the Brickade 6x6 truck from a cargo container, and deliver it safely to the Freakshop. |

Location and Upgrades
The Acid Lab is categorised as a “service vehicle”, and can be called to anywhere in Los Santos and Blaine County. Like other service vehicles it does have a home base, that being the Freakshop. For the sake of this point, there are some good points to spawn the Acid Lab before selling your product. Spots between the Diamond Casino and Strawberry are good for keeping the sales within Los Santos, although, this is not always foolproof.
When it comes to upgrades you only need purchase the equipment upgrade. In fact, it is the only upgrade available for the Acid Lab. To purchase the equipment upgrade, you will need to complete 10 Fooligan Jobs for Dax. You can complete one job per 48 minutes (one in game day), and you can request a job by calling Dax. Missions involve going to a location and completing a specific task. Details can be seen below.
- Crop Dustin': Steal a Duster plane, fill it with chemicals, and fly over weed farms to contaminate them. Afterwards, find the tanker and destroy it.
- Working Remotely: Take a rigged GoPostal van into a gang hideout and detonate it.
- Write-Off: Destroy Merryweather transport vehicles and then head to their depot to finish them off.
- Liquid Assets: Destroy an Epsilon owned large scale weed farm while enduring a hallucinating off the burnt product.
- Heavy Metal: A multi-staged mission that has you kill a gang member, recover stolen goods and then drop off the product.

Sourcing Acid Lab Product
Like the Bunker and MC Businesses, there are three ways to source material for your Acid Lab.
- Manually Sourcing: Call Mutt to manually source supplies. Like other sourcing missions, this involves driving to a location, eliminating/evading hostiles and securing a package. These are generally quicker than the Bunker and MC counterparts, but it can take anywhere between 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
- Buying Material: Depending if you have the equipment upgrade, the cost is $60,000 to fill up the Acid Lab. If you don’t have the upgrade, it will cost $96,000 to fill the Acid Lab. As always, this is the recommended way to manage stock.
- Stash House: Introduced in the Los Santos Drug War update, one stash house will appear around the map every real life day. Raiding the stash house will reward players with a small amount of product for one of their businesses. Note the business is random and can include the MC Businesses and Bunker.
| Metric | No Equipment Upgrade | With Equipment Upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| Full Supply Cost | $96,000 (1.6 full bars of supplies) | $60,000 (1 full bar of supplies) |
| Production Time | 6 Hours (3 Hours if boosted) | 4 Hours (2 Hours if boosted) |
| Max Value (No High Demand Bonus) | $237,600 | $335,200 |

Selling Acid
Now this is where the business really shines! Like the Nightclub, sales are a one vehicle guarantee, no matter how full the stock is, and you will always have the Manchez as the deliver vehicle. One of three delivery missions will occur, all are fairly simple and short.
- Delivery Service: Like the Paper Route Odd Job, you will deliver to ten houses and throw the product into a container. At the fifth delivery, you will be attacked by the Hippie Cartel. Ignore or take them out and finish the remaining five sales.
- Stash the Package: Head to a location and pick one of several locations to stash the package. Be mindful of vehicles in the area as one is usually an undercover police, and they will try to bust you if they see you stash the package. Wanted levels are usually easy to lose but can make the mission longer.
- Police Sting: The drop is usually at a multi story carpark that requires you to head to the top and deliver the package. However, there is an easier way that will save you time. At the carpark, shoot, blow up or otherwise gain the attention of the undercover cops there (you will see the cruisers waiting), lose the wanted level and head to the buyer.

Is the Acid Lab worth it in 2026?
Yes! The Acid Lab is one of the best businesses to own in Grand Theft Auto Online. It requires barely any maintenance, is solo friendly and can run passively while you focus on other activities. Get this business early on, and don't be surprised when you continue to use it into your late game sessions.
