Scoping The Kortz Center
💡
Updated for The Kortz Center Heist update.

Introduction

To start planning for the Kortz Center Heist, you will need to purchase the Art Studio Upgrade for the Mansion, with a price of $4,700,000. Once acquired, Mr Fabor and Raf will appear for a brief introduction cutscene, afterwards letting you loose on the Kortz. In future replays, you can go straight to the Art Studio and start the heist from there.

Scoping the Kortz

When scoping the Kortz for the first time, you will likely pick up most of the entry points, points of interests and so on.

Scoping the Primary and Secondary Targets

To begin, head to the Kortz Center, enter the Bell Building and head right to the security office. If you get caught in here, you will be thrown out but you can just re-enter and try again. Take down the security guard and access the cameras.

Use the camera to scope out the primary and secondary targets within the vault and exhibition room. Below are the rooms you can view from the camera and as you can see, it will highlight stealable artwork and give you a price for them.

After you have scoped the primary art, you are free to walk around the exhibition and scope out additional artworks. Artwork and cabinets can be photographed and sent to Raf, he will mark them and provide a value for them.

Just a quick reminder, you can only steal the smaller artworks. As seen below, the large ones do not count, so don't waste your time photographing them.

Can steal those circled in green but not those circled in red.

Entry Points

Once you have finished, head back out and start scoping the possible entrances. There are four possible entry points.

  1. Staff Entrance (to the right of the main installation doors of Bell Building)
  2. Skylight (use the staircases to find it on top of the Bell Building)
  3. Loading Bay (found on the right as you approach the Kortz Center)
  4. Sewer (the grate is located within the maze at the back of the Kortz Center)

Manhole Cover Key

If you are using the sewer as an entry point for the heist, you will need to find the manhole cover key. It can spawn in one of five locations in the Kortz Center. The key is randomly found in one of the five locations seen below. All of them are on the ground level of the Kortz Center and can even be found and taken when completing the heist.

Prep Work Points of Interests

There are additional locations within the Kortz that are worth scoping out, so that you have access to all available prep work.

Electrical Box (EMP Charges)

Look around the rooftops or behind the staircases for an electric box, noting there are multiple around the Kortz Center. Finding this will let you steal or purchase EMP Charges, that can be used to cut power to the building, wipe CCTV and open additional staircases.

Radio Tower (Guard Routes)

On top of the Bell Building (and elsewhere on the rooftops of the Kortz) is a radio tower. Scoping this will unlock the prep mission that lets you see guards on the map when conducting the heist, great for planning your movements.

Lockbox (Power Drills)

Within the vault, you will notice two sets of lockboxes on either side of the vault. By scoping them with the camera, you will unlock the prep mission to steal some power drills. These will be used to open the boxes during the heist.

Reinforced Glass (Glass Cutter)

When scoping the lower floor of the exhibition, there will be a glass cabinet with a silver skull in it. Raf mentions that a glass cutter (similar to that in the Cayo Perico Heist) can be used to break into these cabinets.

Delivery Truck (Guard Shipments)

While using the security camera to scope the building, focus on this delivery truck when you are in the loading bay camera. This will let you destroy weapon and armour shipments (similar to that in the Casino Heist), lowering the weaken security for the heist.

Miscellaneous Points of Interest

In addition to the above, there a few locations that are worth noting when scoping the heist. There are two locations within the exhibition and one out the front of the Kortz Center, none of them take long but are worth noting.

Display Case Alarm

Scope this one out on the lower floor of the exhibition, adjacent to the skull cabinet mentioned above. You will need to disable this before you start breaking into cases, as this will stop guards from being alerted.

Basement Door

On the same floor, there is a basement door that is worth scoping. This will provide an additional staircase to access when completing the heist.

Security Booth

Lastly, there is a security booth next to the loading bay ramps. The purpose for finding is still unknown at the time of writing and appears more as a point of interest than something that affects the heist, if this changes, we will update this guide to reflect it.

Finalising the Setup Board

If you have scoped each location correctly, your heist board should look like the one below. You will not have to scope the Kortz again and find them all, they will stay discovered for each subsequent heist attempt.

The next guide is this Kortz Center Heist coverage will cover the required and optional prep work, and the best way to tackle the Kortz Center finale.
