Introduction
Released with the Agents of Sabotage update, players work with FIB agent Jodi Marshall and our loyal, amphibious friend, Pavel. Together the three will plan and conduct a series of clandestine operations. The Darnell Brothers Garment Factory will operate a legit front and earn passive income for the business safe, and for the first time, all missions can be started via an app on the player's phone, once you have set the business up.

Locations and Upgrades
This is the first of the newer businesses to feature a single, fixed location. Darnell Brothers is located in La Mesa, costs $2,350,000, and has been renovated since the events of Grand Theft Auto V. There are no upgrades for this business and all the extras come with the initial purchase.

  • Business safe that is capped at $100,000, and is collected roughly $1,500 - $2,000 every 48 minutes (one in game day).
  • Exclusive to the Garment Factory, there are five locations that the player can fast travel to and from the factory.
  • There is now a dedicated parking bay for the Terrorbyte that players can unlock and purchase "Bureau Tech" for it.
  • Plus standard upgrades you'd expect from a business such as a MKII Weapon Workshop and 10 Car Garage.

The FIB Files
There are four FIB Files that can be completed each week, with one being the weekly priority. Each has three set ups and one final, with the whole file taking roughly 30 minutes to complete. This is the only business that lets you start the set ups and the finale via the phone app, great when on the move. The pay varies but the files pay $150,000 - $155,000, and the priority always paying double. The priority files can only be completed once, while the other three can be replayed after a 48 minute (one in game day) cooldown.

Files can be accessed from the Garment Factory computer or via the app on your phone.
FIB File Description
The Black Box File Using the weaponsied Tulsa, you'll bring down a cargo plane and recover the contents while being chased by gunrunners.
The Brute Force File Prepare your equipment and stealthily break into the Fort Zancudo military base and steal a Scarab.
The Fine Art File Prepare a chopper and your best suit, you will break into a thief's penthouse and recover a fine art piece.
Project Breakaway Use an RC and pack of explosives to break into a warehouse, and recover the incriminating evidence.
If you get the Tiki instead, listen out for the familiar sound.

Each FIB File has its own set of three Elite Challenges that can be completed to net an additional $50,000. Meaning the priority files can pay upwards of $350,000, pretty good for 30 minutes of work.

  • The Black Box File: Destroy all four of the plane's engines, recover all plane contents, and kill 5 enemies during the escape
  • The Brute Force File: Reach the base in under five minutes, Enter Area A undetected, and destroy five vehicles with the Scarab
  • The Fine Art File: Enter the penthouse undetected, find and flick the switch in 60 seconds, and take all main and side cabinet contents
  • The Project Breakaway File: Locate Project Breakaway in five minutes, get 15 headshots, and recover the Black Books and Server Blades
As you can see, you get an additional $50,000 for completing the Elite Challenges.

Bureau Tech
The Terrorbyte has five new upgrades that can only be purchased at the Garment Factory. None are overly worth buying unless you have disposable cash, with the only exception being the Master Control Terminal. Your mileage will vary depending on your playstyle, so take that into consideration before purchasing.

Upgrade Price Description
Collectable Scanner $1,290,000 This allows you to detect the location of collectables from within the Terrorbyte (you don't really need this).
Silent Running $425,000 You will appear off the map as long as the Terrorbyte is stationary.
Personal Quarters $295,000 Like other businesses, this allows you to spawn at the Bail Office. This is an optional purchase.
Missle Lock-Jammer $425,000 This disables lock on from hostile players, highly recommended if you use the Terrorbyte a lot.
Master Control Terminal $1,250,000 What the original Terrorbyte terminal should have been. This functions the same as the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade and Mansion.
You can also customise the Terrorbyte's engine, transmission, wheels, livery and so on.

Is the Darnell Brothers Garment Factory worth it in 2026?
Yes, but only if you have purchased other businesses such as the Bunker, Nightclub, Kosatka or Agency. You will get good mileage out of this as it fits nicely into money grinding routines, and the perks of owning the factory can be good. The downside is really the initial price and return on investment. So, get it once you have some of the other priority businesses.
