Smoke on the Water Business Guide

Introduction
Smoke on the Water is one of two additional businesses that can be bought after acquiring the Car Wash. Like the Car Wash, you can start Mr Fabor Works, Laundering Missions and Legal Work. You can purchase Smoke on the Water after purchasing the Car Wash and watching the introduction cutscene. By owning this business, you also unlock the Smoke on the Water daily collectable.
Locations and Upgrades
Located in Vespucci Beach, Smoke on the Water can be bought for $850,000. The only upgrade is the ability to change the tint of the interior for $10,000. Owning Smoke on the Water provides a 35% bonus when selling the Weed Farm business.
Laundering Missions
There are four missions that can be completed for Smoke on the Water. These missions can vary in time and difficulty, but will always pay $35,000. Call Raf and request work or access the business laptop to begin one of these missions. Payments will go into the money bag in the Car Wash.

| Torch the Weed Farms | Simply travel to the location, find the Molotovs or Jerry Can and start burning the rival's weed farm. Watch out for hostile rednecks and leave the area once you have burnt the weed farm to finish this mission. |
| Collect the Fertilizer | After Raf's phone call, head to the location, take out the Armenian Mobsters there, steal the Bobcat and head back to the shop. |
| Recover the Product | Head to the location, take out the NOOSE officers and jump into the RCV. Use the water cannon to extinguish all fires before taking the product. Lose the cops and head back to the shop. |
| Eliminate the Dealers | For this you will need to conduct a drive-by on three groups with the lowrider. Go and steal the lowrider, find and take down each group, then blow the lowrider up and leave the area to finish. |
Heat Mechanic
A new feature that is exclusive to the Money Fronts businesses is the ‘heat’ mechanic. Completing money laundering missions and having your business safe full of money will increase the heat on a business. If the business reaches full heat, you will need to complete a legal mission to remove the heat completely.

- Safely fly tourists to five locations for Higgins Helitours
- Deliver product to customers for Smoke on the Water (more on delivery below)
Reminder: If you don’t remove the heat, your business won’t earn any more money. Unlike the Car Wash, Smoke on the Water does not have a business safe.
Deliver Product (Legal Job)
This one is pretty simple, get the van and head to five destinations and deliver the product. You will get a bonus for giving the customer the product they have requested, roughly $2,500. If you decide to not give customers their requested product, it does not matter, you will still completely remove the business’s heat.
Smoke on the Water Daily Product
By owning this business, you will now be able to collect ten Smoke on the Water products daily. Collecting all ten products in a single real life day (server reset) will pay $25,000 each time. On completing it for the first time, you'll receive a free Smoke on the Water t-shirt. Locations are randomised each time but GTA Lens will provide the locations for the day, should you wish to not find them naturally.
Is Smoke on the Water worth it in 2026?
Honestly, not really. Unless you are in the end-game, have spare cash or specifically want this business, there is no reason to prioritise it over anything else. Focus on the Bunker, Kotsatka, Nightclub and Agency, then any of the other businesses before getting this one.
